Thank You for Supporting DPT!
Your generosity allows DPT to create impactful productions and programs for our region. As a non profit theatre, our work is made possible by you! By making a gift to Detroit Public Theatre, you are supporting:
- Bold, relevant productions that shine a light on Detroit artists and resonate with Detroit audiences.
- Shakespeare in Prison, which uses theatre as a catalyst for empowerment, hope, and healing for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals.
- Our education programs, designed to give students access to works of art that connect with their high school curricula, and bring academic lessons to life.
- And the rest of our community programming, including our post-show dialogue series, our residency program, and our accessible ticketing initiatives.
We hope you’ll consider donating to DPT’s annual fund.

Take Your Seat Campaign

We invite you to Take Your Seat with a sponsorship of $2,500 and join us in creating a spectacular future for Detroit's own public theatre.
Join Detroit Public Theatre's Take Your Seat Campaign and sponsor a seat in DPT's new permanent home! Your gift of $2,500 will make you a literal, physical part of the theatre (because, of course, you’re already the heart and soul of the theatre!).
Your gift will ensure your name or that of a loved one is displayed on a plaque on one of the 200 seats in DPT’s warm, welcoming, flexible performance space and will provide strong support for DPT in our new permanent home!

Founding Donors
We are profoundly grateful for the visionary support of our Founding Donors who pledged multi-year gifts of $10,000 - $25,000 annually in our earliest seasons. The leadership, advocacy, and extraordinary generosity of these donors brought Detroit Public Theatre to life.
