Parking & Directions
Detroit Public Theatre is located at 3960 Third Avenue between Selden and Alexandrine Streets. The theatre’s doors open onto Third. Click here for a Google map of Detroit Public Theatre. There are numerous parking options available for your visit.
You may add a pre-paid parking spot to your ticket purchase in the dedicated DPT parking lot. The lot is located at 3912 Third Avenue - just a few feet from the theatre on the corner of Selden and Third. Spots are limited and available on a first-come/first-served basis. They are $15 each.
Please be aware that when reserving parking for a show, you will find it listed as an additional ticket option under the corresponding show title "RESERVED LIMITED PARKING."
Accessibility Practice
DPT offers accessible seating options and assistive listening technology. Please advise us of any special accessibility needs and requirements for seating by contacting our box office via email or phone in advance of the show. And please also let us know upon arrival at the theatre so we can assist you.
Service Animal Protocol
At Detroit Public Theatre (DPT), your comfort and safety are paramount. If you plan on bringing a service animal to one of our performances, we kindly request that you notify us at least one day in advance of your visit.

Detroit Public Theatre Lobby Bar
We hope you will join us at the lobby bar for pre- and post-show drinks. The lobby bar opens one hour before each performance for gathering. We are delighted to offer signature cocktails, wine, beer, and alcohol-free options!
